Reflection on the Show

On the 25th of May 2017, my media class and I presented out projects on a big projector to an audience of around 20. I enjoyed the experience as I felt proud when I saw mine play on the big screen. I only had a few problems with the audio in some places. The quality on HD was different on everybody's projects because of the quality of the projector and the reflective screen which could be to do with the Keystone effect playing a role.

Overall the show went well. We created a trailer involving myself showing you how to get to the show. The best thing about this trailer was the way we sped it up and slowed it down on the long journey to still keep it informing you the way of how to get there but now just quickly.
We set this by organising the chairs, timing it when it was quiet and also just editing it thoroughly.

We also had the written work and comics on a table at the back which was available to guests. Not many looked at them though since the indication was not clear.

Personally, the things I would change would be the opening of the show. What happened was 3 people (2 students and Tobie) stood in the corner and said "Hi, this is our show, enjoy" very quietly and unenthusiastically when Tobie then came on to say "This is our level 2's work and these are films that they have prepared for their Final Major Project" rather proudly and that completely outshone the 2 students. They were unprepared and stood in the corner, this really was not a good way to open the show. I would have drawn the attention, stood in the middle, spoke loud and clearly and have been much more excited to present my work.

It was scary to have my work put out to the public and shown to an audience but half way through I decided to just enjoy it. I have my gripes, but nothing too bad. It helped me understand a new way of reviewing my work that has helped me massively. I like the fact that I got a round of applause at the end of my film as well that was exclusively done to just my film which was very reassuring and rewarding.
