Introduce the project and theme in your own words For my Final Major Project, I have created a Documentary on the Caterham 7 for those that are and aren't aware of it. To prove and show that is more than just a car.  List five strengths and five weaknesses in your final product Strengths Colourful and Bright Clear audio Engaging Informative Well shot Weaknesses Duration Video Quality History Accuracy Nerd Friendly Approach Mix Sections up I have taken my weaknesses on board and made a few adjustments towards the older ones which were the duration of which I made when I was editing my fix. This made my film only get cut down by 6 seconds and I know that that is not a lot but there are valuable information and valuable shots to the whole film in every shot. This is proven by the voice overs which carried on throughout the whole film which are the main pivot of the film and so removing any part of what was said in these voice-overs

Feedback

For the product assessment, I have asked 4 people to write a short paragraph stating what was good and bad about my film and what I could change. I did this not only because the brief requires it but out of personal interest to see what people made of my film. I was very intrigued by what they thought of it and not for them to just say 'good' but go into detail and perhaps pick my film apart. This method has definitely proven worthy in the past as I have had much feedback on previous short films explaining not only what was wrong but why it was wrong which helped me learn a great deal about me as a director and learn a lot more about my film. I have learned many valuable lessons such as; 'Always keep your target audience in mind' and 'keep the camera work as smooth as possible if it's a crucial scene.' Screen Records Reflection

In editing, I recorded my process through many sitings and made a long video of the whole process. I made the most of every sitting by doing these recordings and showing my process. Looking back on this was actually very useful to me since I was enabled to go back and pick up where I left off. As I could do this, I was swift and quick in getting underway at the start of each day in the one week I did it in, which made the whole process much quicker and easier. I had made lots of progress in this editing process as I learned a lot about Premiere Pro as I feel I have completed one of my S.M.A.R.T targets which were to learn more about all the Adobe apps specifically Premiere. I learned a lot about filters and the balance between making it too saturated and blurry to then very vibrant.  If too vibrant, it will be pixelated and the same with saturation. In my pre-production, I had completed a Shot list, Concept Art, a Script, a Storyboard and a Recce. After review of doing this and also making all of my work double checked and thought over, I fell to the assumption that my film will have to be cut down. Originally, I hosted a survey of a lot of people and got just under 100 responses. They all wanted my Documentary to be 25-30 minutes but I feel as if my film will not be optimised at that amount of time as it could be considered as 'dragging on' and that would lose engagement from the audience to the film. They could be induced if the film was around 10-15 minutes since there still will be the same amount if not, more information said. For proof of the audience wanting it to be shorter, there was a crossroads in a decision so of course, I went with the larger. I won't be completely alone on this decision as the other half of the audience wanted it to be 8-10 minutes which was still the second biggest vote, and some eve

In my film, I have access to a lot of useful equipment related to what I want to achieve with inspiration such as Top Gear and The Grand Tour. I will also use a drone in my shoot as the Grand Tour and Top Gear do that also. Yes, this will be heavily based on them but I will be doing my own thing in terms of making it a lot longer than what they do with that particular part of their show and also interviewing people. This will help express my point and pivot people view on the car by giving them the common opinion. In the 'showboating' part of my Documentary, I will make it the most cinematic part and the best aesthetically pleasing section in the film. This is because I want it to represent the car in a good light and make the car look good while also going fast, which is another inspiration. I'm not completely copying Top Gear and Grand Tour, however, as this will be different, I will be using different shots to the shows and filtering it in editing but also stabilizing t

Doing my recce, I went on google maps to plan my shots and plan the angles that I will use in my film. I mapped it out on paper first, so that I could go in prepared and know what I'd be doing on location since it would be sunny and I will know what will happen on location. I think that it's always great to plan these kinds of things since I love to be organised. I always try to stay ahead and make my trip as easy as possible since I will have a lot to do on that day. It's key for me to know this since it isn't easy to know exactly what's going to happen because of obviously traffic and road obstructions so I took a picture of the car park to find a quiet spot. The sheet, however, is crucial because it tells me where I'll be shooting, not only that but where the camera angle is so I can go straight in on location and get it done with no hassle. STORYBOARD

To plan my FMP shooting and to help me prepare for my script, I have done my storyboards. The first one is the plan and basically, index to all the ones I did. I have split my film up into 6 sections that are all equally detailed, I have made myself think ahead as well. This gives me a very nice ground to build on for my planning for my shoot because with this, I know what my film will be about. Since My film has to be 25-30 mins, 30 ÷ 6 = 5. This means that I can only spend 5 minutes on each section which is a nice crisp whole number for me to say everything in. This means that the voice overs are a huge part and to make my script for that, I will be referencing this to remind myself of my style and also give me ideas for what to say. I have given myself a valid amount of time since I think that getting my point across in 5 minutes is enough depending on the speed of which I pace my film at. In my introduction, I plan to set the pace and give people a taste of what is to come in
