Why work experience is important?
Work Experience is vital going into the business of media. You should be able to find out so much more of what will happen in that particular workplace. The point is to simply know what you are going into for your future and finding whether that is the right job for you. The knowledge you gain from work experience allows you to put that on your C.V and then when you apply for your next job in that industry (especially media) you are more likely to get chosen.

My plans for work experience.
I do want to work with a film company. Although it will be difficult to get work experience from people like that, I will try and get into the editing of films or just ghosting in general. If I did get into a set of something involving the production process of a film it would help me so much because it is the way that you get into the media industry. 


Why does this industry for work experience interest me?
This industry for work experience interests me because I am aiming to be a director. It takes a lot of work to become a director because of what you have to do to work your way up the industry and get noticed but that for me is fine. I want to exploit my passion for making films by working my way up and work experience will really help me do that.

Potential places for my work experience.
For me, I'd like to work with anyone who'd take me on their set or in their production process. It will be difficult to find someone as generous but I need to try. I have looked at places such as:

Why would I like to join any of these companies?
I'd like to join these companies on work experience because I need to gain experience in the production process of any films. I feel like these places will be perfect for me to be allowed to do that.

Opinion from pitch My pitch was great! I know that I must be more vigilant and thoroughly plan my project out, and I will up my game to aim for the Distinction grade. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKNi9IYfMTc In my 60 second video, I chose to go with tension as my genre. I haven't tried tension and it was something I wanted to do. I liked making this film but at the start, I was aiming for a comedy and I guess it is a bit of both.  From target 3.1 I learned new and interesting shot types such as, a low angle looking up and the high angle looking down which are great to use because they show how a character is feeling. For example, the low angle looking up can show that a character is feeling intimidated and a high angle looking down is the person providing the argument. I learned this through watching 'A few good men" in the "You can't handle the truth" scene.  In my film, I use the low angle facing up to the girl so the guy in the chair was feeling intimidated. For the product assessment, I have asked 4 people to write a short paragraph stating what was good and bad about my film and what I could change. I did this not only because the brief requires it but out of personal interest to see what people made of my film. I was very intrigued by what they thought of it and not for them to just say 'good' but go into detail and perhaps pick my film apart. This method has definitely proven worthy in the past as I have had much feedback on previous short films explaining not only what was wrong but why it was wrong which helped me learn a great deal about me as a director and learn a lot more about my film. I have learned many valuable lessons such as; 'Always keep your target audience in mind' and 'keep the camera work as smooth as possible if it's a crucial scene.'
