Matt's Dad is busy working in his office at home when Matt enters.
Enter Matt.

Act 1, Scene 1
MATT

Dad, can I have my headphones? I'm off to college now.

MATT'S DAD

Yeah! Here you go.

[Hands over headphones]

Have a good day Matt. Don't wanna hear what I heard last week about you disappearing in class. OK?

MATT

Yes, right, okay... Bye!

MATT'S DAD

I'm serious!

[Matt Leaves, Matt's Dad turns back to his computer]

Act 1, Scene 2

Int. DAY. BATH COLLEGE

Act 2, Scene 1

INT/EXT. DAY. COMPUTER ROOM

[Matt sits down at his computer, gets out his headphones]

[He plugs his headphones into his phone and he is teleported to outside college]

MATT

WHOA!!!

[He takes out the headphones and he is back at Bath College]

ACT 2, Scene 2

MATT

WHAT!?


[Plugs headphones in again, he is outside Bath Abbey]

MATT

Uhhhggrrr...?

[He unplugs them in and is back in college]

ACT 2, Scene 3

[Plugs in again and is by the river by Pultney Bridge]

[He is confused and turns around but he is starting to get used to it]

ACT 3, Scene 1

INT/EXT. DAY. BATH COLLEGE

[He is back at college after unplugging the headphones for the 3rd time]

[Matt plugs headphones in, this time, confidently]

ACT 3, Scene 2

[He is now in the countryside, he looks around]

[Matt unplugs the headphones to get back to college, it doesn't work]

MATT

No, no, no...

[Matt his hesitatingly plugging and unplugging the headphones]

MATT

Shiiiii-

[Pano out, films ends]

Opinion from pitch My pitch was great! I know that I must be more vigilant and thoroughly plan my project out, and I will up my game to aim for the Distinction grade. I know it went well because I knew my point was getting across. The point of this film is the fact that the 'Caterham' is an under-rated underdog supercar that people have overlooked. Or just simply that people don't know about it. So I will teach them not just about the car but the community and the whole prospectus. I knew this was getting across since my presentation was explaining it. Ed told me that my presentation was good so I could tell he knew what I wanted to do. I told him about the community and it says in my presentation that it exists. I hadn't told him statistics yet since I am saving that for my film. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKNi9IYfMTc In my 60 second video, I chose to go with tension as my genre. I haven't tried tension and it was something I wanted to do. I liked making this film but at the start, I was aiming for a comedy and I guess it is a bit of both.  From target 3.1 I learned new and interesting shot types such as, a low angle looking up and the high angle looking down which are great to use because they show how a character is feeling. For example, the low angle looking up can show that a character is feeling intimidated and a high angle looking down is the person providing the argument. I learned this through watching 'A few good men" in the "You can't handle the truth" scene.  In my film, I use the low angle facing up to the girl so the guy in the chair was feeling intimidated. This gives my film a twist because you don't expect the guy in the chair to be intimidated since he is giving the girl orders. I tried to crea

For the product assessment, I have asked 4 people to write a short paragraph stating what was good and bad about my film and what I could change. I did this not only because the brief requires it but out of personal interest to see what people made of my film. I was very intrigued by what they thought of it and not for them to just say 'good' but go into detail and perhaps pick my film apart. This method has definitely proven worthy in the past as I have had much feedback on previous short films explaining not only what was wrong but why it was wrong which helped me learn a great deal about me as a director and learn a lot more about my film. I have learned many valuable lessons such as; 'Always keep your target audience in mind' and 'keep the camera work as smooth as possible if it's a crucial scene.'
