Focus Group
This is my focus group:
This is my focus group, we debated how we liked christmas cards and what we want on them. This is useful information for designing a card. Since we are designing one this is useful to the process.
I found that everyone liked the abnormal. We have a taste not for the original and traditional colours, but for the more brighter and more of a experimentation approach colours. I think that the best way to make a christmas card is to base it on your target audience. young children want icons in their favourite colours and then for teens up to 18, they will want to have more basic colours with a simple message. then adults up to 65 would accept a more complex design and better art that's humorous. And finally the older people will want the traditional stuff. Standard white, green and red. we also found that there is a wide range of us that have maturity in our preferred style, for example, some of us like bright pink sparkly things as some of us prefer an artistic darker and broader design. That is definitely going to have a big impact on our project. Although we are all the same age, we had a good representation in our preferability's of our target audience for the age range we had in our focus group. I accept that the people who listened to this wouldn't of seen the Christmas cards selection that we had towards the end but I do think that they get described by our verdicts.
