In Assignment 1 Task 1, I created four ideas to work from and my top three was a Documentary, a Horror Short and an Action Short film. The inspiration for the Documentary will be 'Top Gear' and 'The Grand Tour', the inspiration for the Horror will be 'Winchester', and the Action Short would be inspired by 'Taken'.

Documentary

I will do a review and overlook on Caterham cars. From top to bottom, a Documentary about the community that comes with owning one, the history, the Statistics & Facts about all of their accomplishments. One of the most undervalued supercars on the road needs to have a light shed on. This would include things like Vox Pops & Interviews talking about debatable subjects like 'Westfield' which are a manufacturer that look identical to Caterham which have basically stolen their idea. 

There is a lot of love for Caterhams, there are these car meets that sometimes see hundreds of people turn up to. One thing that makes it so exciting is the speed, the open air and the fact that it is a kit car so you can always make tweaks and adjust them. I feel confident in this idea. The connection that is needed for this to work is what I want to focus on to accomplish. I need to be spontaneous if I really want this project to succeed. The fact that there are a lot of different personalities I need to interview about cars will need to be managed carefully and even some of those might be cut out from the final edit.

Horror

For the Horror, I will have to use all skills possible in my power to make the set looking as good as possible. The brief will hopefully appreciate all the pre-production I will need to do to achieve this standard of work gon into making the set look good. If it doesn't then it won't look believable which could result in ruining the whole film for most people since it cannot then be relatable and they won't be scared. I need to be precise in making the actors make scared reactions and where to be scared and act to since some of this could be after effects. I don't have a massively wide understanding of how to make the audience scared apart from jump scares. If there are too many of these then they will become predictable throughout the film. Maybe the story could be relatable to today's lifestyle of people, therefore, causing one big scare which is actually the storyline.

Action

In this action film, I will be vastly experienced in writing a script for this and making it funny as well as intense. Sometimes the funniest thing in an intense film will be that one character who can break that tension. This makes that character valuable to the film and usually said the character is the main character or the main characters' friend. I will watch Taken 1-3 to understand and get a better concept of what is required within the storyline that makes it work. I think that if I made a Father and a missing daughter/son and the fact that since they are at the age that they are, the teachers from their college/school are frustrated that this kid isn't coming into class. There is a re-accruing shady character throughout the whole film and in the end, he is the man that has kidnapped the father's child.
