Sounds

When doing my Recce I had an advantage in the weather being sunny and calm winds. I hope that when I shoot this film the weather isn't as such and that it is actually drizzling. I hope for this because it shows how far he is away from everything and how different it is to the busy city that he is previously in. The only problem is sound, and how it will be windy which means that there will be a lot of muffling and perhaps you won't hear my actor say his lines. I will try my hardest to pick the correct time so that this is prevented.

I will use foley sound techniques for things like walking on carpets on to hardwood floor. I plan to have my main character walk into the college and beep his card onto the wall to allow him in. Except for the place he inters is actually an exit. So setting this up and timing the way he will come in will be tricky. I will do two bits of foley for this. I will record the 'beep' on the wall to exit college to put in as him entering. I will also record footsteps separately from him coming from outside - carpet/rug - hardwood floor. All three of this will be recorded separately but then edited together.

Another part I plan to use foley in will be, typing on a computer. I will have the actor type on the computer keyboard but then I will have the audio recorded separately to the precise timing of how he previously typed and the speed of which it was done. I will also record the clicking of a mouse on a computer separate to the visual recording. It will help the image in people head be elevated even though it is only someone typing on a computer keyboard and clicking a mouse. The main reason people use foley is because will amplify the shot and scene.
