Christmas Card - Kuler

That is the colours that I intend to use on my christmas card. I think that the Ice column is the nicest line because the blue would be appropriate for a lot of the snow and the sky perhaps. The fact that the colour is cold is quite ironic considering that christmas is in the winter and generally a cold time.

 I like the colour called Santa Red since it is self-explained since this is the colour I will use on his suit and the darker colours could be the colour of perhaps the presents.

I used the bright colours in the Christmas tree green so that I could get the alternative darker green. I really like that the first colour is warm and that it is perfect for the christmas tree. I intend to spend more time finding colours for the decorations on the tree and the presents.

I will be using the white for my final design a with hint of that darkest red. Also the wallpaper will include the light green. So I will include all of these colours but just not in the order most would think.

Opinion from pitch My pitch was great! I know that I must be more vigilant and thoroughly plan my project out, and I will up my game to aim for the Distinction grade. I know it went well because I knew my point was getting across. The point of this film is the fact that the 'Caterham' is an under-rated underdog supercar that people have overlooked. I liked making this film but at the start, I was aiming for a comedy and I guess it is a bit of both.  From target 3.1 I learned new and interesting shot types such as, a low angle looking up and the high angle looking down which are great to use because they show how a character is feeling. For example, the low angle looking up can show that a character is feeling intimidated and a high angle looking down is the person providing the argument. I learned this through watching 'A few good men" in the "You can't handle the truth" scene.  In my film, I use the low angle facing up to the girl so the guy in the chair was feeling intimidated. For the product assessment, I have asked 4 people to write a short paragraph stating what was good and bad about my film and what I could change. I did this not only because the brief requires it but out of personal interest to see what people made of my film. I was very intrigued by what they thought of it and not for them to just say 'good' but go into detail and perhaps pick my film apart. This method has definitely proven worthy in the past as I have had much feedback on previous short films explaining not only what was wrong but why it was wrong which helped me learn a great deal about me as a director and learn a lot more about my film. I have learned many valuable lessons such as; 'Always keep your target audience in mind' and 'keep the camera work as smooth as possible if it's a crucial scene.'
