My magazine project will be a mock-up version and my take on 'empire' magazine. I am going to include an interview with an actor about a film and their personal life etc. I will also include new TV shows and new movies with my recommendations included. I plan to show a timeline of all the new movies and tv shows from now to January 2018 and what is currently shooting, also, what will come out next year. I plan to take on the topic of how technology effects film and if it effect storylines. I want to talk about how scary good 4K is and how much Netflix use and make film and TV shows in 4K.





I want to focus on Superman and him on the Empire front. I willl of course, do my pwn version but these are some one I found that have inspired me. I will do a 'Justice League' version which has not been done yet. I intent to have my version with a different background. Maybe something that tells the auidience that this is different so meybe he could be in the countryside perhaps. 










This is a T-Shirt magazine cover and  I actually really like it. This is really simple and a 'classic' look. It is not too busy and keeps it interesting. I might consider doing something like this for it is something I have considered. It is a different type of thing altogether however because it isn't anything to do with Empire. I love the idea of doing something like Empire and I don't think doing an Empire-T-Shirt front cover would work. Especially not with the opportunity I have.


As you can see here; I have planned out how my magazine will look and what I intend to include. I will create some fake ad's so that it will be realistic. Obviously, I will have to take the logo of the thing I want to advert and create some art for it at the bottom of my pages '2 & 3'. These are not to fill space but for my magazine to be realistic.

I intend to use this link to help me make my cover pop and to allow myself to get the best possible look alike to Empire magazine. I like the empire logo and font that they use so I will do my best to find that and make the title almost dead on what they have.
This will not be easy. Empire has a specific way of doing their covers that's quite extravagant.
The best way to find out how I will edit this will be to actually purchase an Empire magazine and learn the techniques and ways in which they make their magazines and how they are edited. I will look up ways to make my magazine like theirs on youtube and watch some videos on their editing process.

Opinion from pitch My pitch was great! I know that I must be more vigilant and thoroughly plan my project out, and I will up my game to aim for the Distinction grade. I know it went well because I knew my point was getting across. The point of this film is the fact that the 'Caterham' is an under-rated underdog supercar that people have overlooked. Or just simply that people don't know about it. So I will teach them not just about the car but the community and the whole prospectus. I knew this was getting across since my presentation was explaining it. Ed told me that my presentation was good so I could tell he knew what I wanted to do. For the product assessment, I have asked 4 people to write a short paragraph stating what was good and bad about my film and what I could change. I did this not only because the brief requires it but out of personal interest to see what people made of my film. I was very intrigued by what they thought of it and not for them to just say 'good' but go into detail and perhaps pick my film apart. This method has definitely proven worthy in the past as I have had much feedback on previous short films explaining not only what was wrong but why it was wrong which helped me learn a great deal about me as a director and learn a lot more about my film. I have learned many valuable lessons such as; 'Always keep your target audience in mind' and 'keep the camera work as smooth as possible if it's a crucial scene.'
