Narrative structure
Act 1 v Act 2 v Act 3
Tipping point Tipping Point
In films, you have 3 act structure where it is basically a beginning a middle and an end. But in between those acts you a have point in which the story changes that provides an action point for the next act and it is where the story changes. This is one of the dramatic events in which you change the story for effect and to either completely change it or lead the film to another scene.
In 'Wonder Woman' the first tipping point is where the plane crashes and she has to rescue and save the drowning pilot. Before this point, she is training to fight but she didn't know she had powers and she devastated her opponent with a huge blow. Still learning she is eager to find out more about what she can do so she jumps from a great hight into the water to swim over to the pilot and drag him out of the water onto the beach to save him.
The second tipping point in 'Wonder Woman' is where Diana (Wonder Woman) finds the man she accuses to be 'Ares the God of War'. The man of who she feels she is destined to fight because she has been brought up to believe that he is the all mighty enemy of the world and to her. When she finds this man she then goes to attack him when he stops her and starts to dance with him. They have a conversation hinting at the fact that he could be Ares but he leaves before she can attack him once more and break up the dance. She reaches for her sword which was disguised in her dress but she is stopped by her ally and friend Steve Trevor and he tells her to stop what she is doing. This changes her now since the man she is accusing of being Ares is called 'Ludendorff' and he is a member of the German army. He then bombs a small village in which Diana just saved and then she now goes off to fight him again and this starts Act 3. She later discovers that he is not Ares by killing him really easily and then the real Ares appears and they start a massive fight that ends up destroying a whole airfield of German bombs and missiles.
