Plant eating butterfly

In this animation made in Adobe Animate, there is a short film made about a flower try and succeeding in eating a butterfly in which the plant at the start grew and grew to become full-sized and then the butterfly entered into the scene and the plant followed it. This then was followed by the plant then eating the butterfly.


I noticed that the start and end of the positioning of the plant are pretty much the same. This will represent the way you edit this while making it in Animate.























Then I looked into how this was made in editing and I turned 'Onion Skin' on. This showed me the pattern in the process of which the maker edited this. It is interesting to see how and where the butterfly has gone and where they wanted it to fly. Not only this but the flower moves with the butterfly to follow it's path and strike to then eat it.

Opinion from pitch My pitch was great! I know that I must be more vigilant and thoroughly plan my project out, and I will up my game to aim for the Distinction grade. I know it went well because I knew my point was getting across. The point of this film is the fact that the 'Caterham' is an under-rated underdog supercar that people have overlooked. Or just simply that people don't know about it. So I will teach them not just about the car but the community and the whole prospectus. I liked making this film but at the start, I was aiming for a comedy and I guess it is a bit of both.  From target 3.1 I learned new and interesting shot types such as, a low angle looking up and the high angle looking down which are great to use because they show how a character is feeling. For example, the low angle looking up can show that a character is feeling intimidated and a high angle looking down is the person providing the argument. I learned this through watching 'A few good men" in the "You can't handle the truth" scene.  In my film, I use the low angle facing up to the girl so the guy in the chair was feeling intimidated. For the product assessment, I have asked 4 people to write a short paragraph stating what was good and bad about my film and what I could change. I did this not only because the brief requires it but out of personal interest to see what people made of my film. I was very intrigued by what they thought of it and not for them to just say 'good' but go into detail and perhaps pick my film apart. This method has definitely proven worthy in the past as I have had much feedback on previous short films explaining not only what was wrong but why it was wrong which helped me learn a great deal about me as a director and learn a lot more about my film. I have learned many valuable lessons such as; 'Always keep your target audience in mind' and 'keep the camera work as smooth as possible if it's a crucial scene.'
