Last week we were into the second week after starting our F.M.P. We were introduced to screen breaks and planning objective sheets. We were all well into Assignment 1, and most of us were feeling confident over out work. The only thing that startled everyone was the powerpoint. I gave mine this morning (20/3/17) and I feel it went well. I forgot to include my story but I gave a detailed plan of what else I'm about to do and going to do. I feel that I'm well organised and ready to go into Assignment 2 with confidence. The only flaw is that I don't think that I have enough time to shoot my Sitcom. We have essentially 1 month to do this F.M.P. and a lot of people are panicking over that. I just need to make sure I don't get distracted and keep my head down to work.

I have no time to waste.
On the other hand we have been all give a section in a whole class objective sheet. The idea is that we plan our day/week using this, so the lectures can keep an eye on what everyone's supposed to be doing. The main concept helps because I like to keep organised with physical things and making that happen on a computer helps and is very useful. I like the fact everyone os together on this. Although you can edit each others box it's nice to see what everyone else is doing so I can check and make sure that I am not missing anything.

Opinion from pitch My pitch was great! I know that I must be more vigilant and thoroughly plan my project out, and I will up my game to aim for the Distinction grade. I know it went well because I knew my point was getting across. The point of this film is the fact that the 'Caterham' is an under-rated underdog supercar that people have overlooked. Or just simply that people don't know about it. So I will teach them not just about the car but the community and the whole prospectus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKNi9IYfMTc In my 60 second video, I chose to go with tension as my genre. I haven't tried tension and it was something I wanted to do. I liked making this film but at the start, I was aiming for a comedy and I guess it is a bit of both.  From target 3.1 I learned new and interesting shot types such as, a low angle looking up and the high angle looking down which are great to use because they show how a character is feeling. For example, the low angle looking up can show that a character is feeling intimidated and a high angle looking down is the person providing the argument. I learned this through watching 'A few good men" in the "You can't handle the truth" scene.  In my film, I use the low angle facing up to the girl so the guy in the chair was feeling intimidated. For the product assessment, I have asked 4 people to write a short paragraph stating what was good and bad about my film and what I could change. I did this not only because the brief requires it but out of personal interest to see what people made of my film. I was very intrigued by what they thought of it and not for them to just say 'good' but go into detail and perhaps pick my film apart. This method has definitely proven worthy in the past as I have had much feedback on previous short films explaining not only what was wrong but why it was wrong which helped me learn a great deal about me as a director and learn a lot more about my film. I have learned many valuable lessons such as; 'Always keep your target audience in mind' and 'keep the camera work as smooth as possible if it's a crucial scene.'
